The BDA/DWP Training Project took off with its first Induction Training held at Derby on 12th March, 2005 to coincide with the 2nd anniversary of the BSL Recognition. About 40 attended the training and they are now eagerly await to be kitted up with i2eye so they could have an online tutorials in BSL! They also look forward to access in both languages BSL and English for training notes. It could be the world first here!

To date we have had two more Induction Trainings in Bristol. The total number of trainees will be 96.

I know people have been wondering how I teach linguistics in BSL, well now this section is ready.

Just click your name and password to look at the BSL Linguistics contents. Click on the relevant section for your teaching and Francis will give you some information and tell you what is appropriate for specific features of BSL so that you know what to look for when teaching.

This is an ongoing development so you will learn more about linguistics and appreciate what else you need to know which is relevant to teaching in order to improve your confidence in the use of BSL. This website will provide the relevant skills, to do this.
